„Inner Landscape” represents a depiction of nature filtered through a mesh of inner anxieties. It is the viewing of natural beauty, but processed, distorted – where, as a result of these changes, only motion, basic shapes, organic forms, and flickering remain. The shadow merges with the object in ecstatic movement.
The entire cycle can be encapsulated in a simple comparison. It’s as if someone said to me, “Draw a garden” – without giving any further instructions. I chose the most beautiful botanical pigments (sourced from holly, indigo, hibiscus). The colors – sometimes vibrant and lively, other times muted and earthy – became the heart of each piece.
Some works I left just as they were – preserving only the delicate imprint of plant matter. Most, however, I covered with drawings of leaves, flowers, and resilient stems. Everything is in motion and trembling.
It is as if I were observing only the play of light and shadow or rushing to capture the image on the run. Or as if I were allowed only to see the shadow of a paradisiacal garden on the wall.
